C'est "officiel", le NIN -VIDEOPROJECT sera présent ce 28/03/2008 lors du Zombie Day

Nous avons obtenu l'autorisation de l'organisateur de filmer l'attaque des Zombies mais aussi de pouvoir organiser quelques prises.

Donc, nous avons besoin de CAMERAMEN/WOMEN !!!
(si possible possédant une caméra pouvant tourner en HD mais ce n'est pas indispensable)!!

Par ailleurs, si vous désirez faire partie des zombies
Maquillage gratuit dès 14h au BIFFF à Tour & Taxis
(l'inscription est ultra-simple sur le site du zombie day! Elle ne prend même,pas 30 secondes! Et puis, ça permettra d'avoir une idée de qui sera présent! )
L'attaque sera lancée dès 18h.

Et puis, si vous avez des idées pour mettre en scène les zombies, n'hésitez pas à nous les transmettre en commentaire !!

Le Zombie Day - NIN "one day" project constituera une des vidéos du projet plus global qu'est le "Nine Inch Nails - Video Project"

Petit "reminder" pour ceux qui ne sont pas encore au parfum du NIN-videoproject! :

Il y a peu, Trent Reznor (NIN) proposait de mettre en image, ce que leur dernier album, Ghosts I-IV, nous inspire en vue d'un festival consacré à ce dernier. Nous avons eu l'idée de réunir un maximum de personnes intéressées par la réalisation de projets vidéos.

Et c'est dans ce cadre, que nous avons pensé qu'il serait amusant de faire un "one day project" de concert avec le Zombie Day.


Nous avons d'ailleurs déjà pensé à un morceau qui conviendrait tout particulièrement au Zombie Spirit !

(pour ceux qui ont été rebutés par la longue tartine du premier post du blog. Un petit résumé en français s'y trouve toutefois pour ceux qui ne parlent pas anglais...)

Ici, vous trouverez les réponses aux questions fondamentales que vous pourriez vous poser au sujet du projet:

"Some tips when creating videos for the film festival:

- Prepare your content in the highest resolution you can, and hang on to the original files, in case we want to use your video for something beyond the scope of YouTube.


- This project will be going on for quite a while, so take your time. Please don't just submit simple image slideshows.

- Incorporating copyrighted materials (clips from movies, unlicensed stock footage, music by other artists, etc) into your video might limit our ability to feature it in the future. The same goes for filming of people or locations without their permission. Anything goes on YouTube, but we'll have to play by the rules for other outlets, so if you want your video to be eligible for anything we come up with in the future, make sure its content is fully cleared.

- Clips that are clearly not legitimate festival submissions (i.e. promotional videos for unrelated content with Ghosts music thrown over them) will be discarded.

- We'll be posting a general time frame for the first round of selections (probably in May), but the idea is to continue it beyond that, so there will be opportunities even for long-term projects. Since it's not a contest we can have several submission periods, so please don't worry about rushing.

- This isn't a place to submit your musical remixes or vocal performances that don't include any video content - if you have audio-only creations using Ghosts music, please contribute those to http://remix.nin.com

- The focus here is video, so that should be the emphasis of your submission. If you want to incorporate your own version of the music with your video, that's fine. You could include dialogue, voice-overs, parts with no music, singing, whatever you want - but obviously there should be music from Ghosts involved.

-Is there an official time limit for the project? Particularly, how long is too long if presenting as a short film? And could you use multiple tracks on a short film or just one that thematically fits the content?

Make it as long or short as you want. Use multiple tracks if you want. Whatever you feel best suits your vision."

Hello-
First of all, a sincere THANK YOU for the response to Ghosts. We are all amazed at the reaction for what we assumed would be a quiet curiosity in the NIN catalog. My faith in all of you has been restored - let's all go have coffee somewhere (my treat)!

Today we announce the expansion of the Ghosts project into the visual world. This record began as an experiment with us using sound as a means to describe visuals. Early in the project we thought it would be interesting to see what the community could create / collaborate on as a reaction to the music we were making. We wanted to keep the canvas as blank as possible for you, hence the lack of descriptive song titles and the primarily textural artwork and packaging.
So here's the plan: we've teamed up with YouTube to host a "film festival" around Ghosts. The concept is for you to take whatever tracks you feel inspired by from Ghosts and create what you feel should accompany them visually. You will be able to see all of the submissions, and a team of us (including me) will be sorting through them and setting aside ones we feel are exceptional. Eventually (within a couple of months?) we will present a virtual "film festival" with me and some special guests presenting selections of your work.
This isn't a contest and you don't win elaborate prizes - it's meant to be an experiment in collaboration and a chance for us to interact beyond the typical one-way artist-to-fan relationship. We've discussed some interesting ways this could go, including multiple installments of the online "film festivals," to broadcast TV specials, to a one-time live performance of the entire Ghosts record with your visuals involved. It really depends on how this progresses and develops.
We are all very much looking forward to what you come up with, and hope you enjoy the experience. Visit our YouTube channel for information on how to participate.

Pour ceux qui ne comprennent pas l'anglais, en résumé :

Trent Reznor, le fondateur du groupe Nine Inch Nails, a lancé le projet de proposer à ses fans (ou autres artistes... ) de mettre en image ce que son dernier album leur inspire. L'album est téléchargeable sur le lien que vous trouverez ci-dessous... Dans, ce cadre, nous avons pensé qu'il serait judicieux de réunir plusieurs personnes qui, même si elles sont novices dans la réa de vidéo, pourraient apporter leur pierre à l'édifice à tout niveau
